Dear Single Mom:
It’s Saturday. A lot of people consider it a time devoted to family. I don’t know how you view weekends, but if they are tougher for you than during week because how the rest of society views them, then I am praying for you. Maybe your family dynamic is still being figured out. Maybe you feel alone to the point that you are the family. God is with you. He is a God that can think out of the box. If your family doesn’t look like the mainstream culture’s, it’s okay. Sometimes those not related with familial ties, those make the best bonds. Single Moms, I pray that you have a friend, neighbor, co-worker, and time with God to fill in any “family gap” you may feel.
Father in Heaven,
Thank you that you are relational and you never want others to feel lonely. Please move powerfully for those may feel lonely this weekend. Please fill them with a double portion of your Spirit and your presence. Please surround them with the godly who will help them stand firm. Please continue to build families around Single Moms by blessing them with relationships that build them up, and encourage them to stay on the lasting path of righteousness. You are a just and loving God. Please show your kindness in ways that blow women away, in your pure desire to be a Father to the Fatherless and a SUPPORT to the widow. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
“The wicked die and disappear, but the family of the godly stands firm.” Proverbs 12:7
“The LORD watches over the foreigner and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.” Psalm 146:9
