Dear Single Mom: Congratulations, you made it through another Monday.  I don’t know about you, but I have varying moments of strength.  How is it that just catching your breath takes strength? I sang an awesome song yesterday at church, and thought of you, Single Mom.  I thought about how God does and will continue to give you strength.  Sometimes we have to wait, and that wait is tough, but He fulfills his promises.  He will defend you when you need someone to have your back: physically, mentally, emotionally.  God is hope.  He has it in abundance, and he seeks to comfort, renew and restore.  I give props to Chris Tomlin tonight, (and the worship team at church) as I have been humming his song “Everlasting God” since about 11a yesterday 🙂 http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/christomlin/everlastinggod.html:

“Everlasting God”
Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord

Our God, You reign forever
Our hope, our Strong Deliverer
You are the everlasting God
The everlasting God
You do not faint
You won’t grow weary

Our God, You reign forever
Our hope, our Strong Deliverer
You are the everlasting God
The everlasting God
You do not faint
You won’t grow weary

You’re the defender of the weak
You comfort those in need
You lift us up on wings like eagles

Father in Heaven,
Thank you for your love and grace that renews.  You are faithful, even when our faith waivers, because your good quantities are everlasting.  Thank you for defending the weak, comforting those in need, and lifting up Single Moms on wings like eagles.  Lord, you and you alone are able and willing to help them soar.   Thank you for caring about every and all anxieties.
In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
