I’m not a Jewish man, yet I believe every Christian in the workplace can leave an imprint of Jesus, can be a reminder of Him, a joyful light pointing back to the Ultimate Source.

It can be easy to grow dull, to not remember our true callings when pushed on every side to meet multiple needs.  Especially when those needs do not appear overtly ministry-esque or Christian-ish.

Jesus encounters – coming face to face with His words – fan back into flame the burning for Him within.  I got a kick out of reading Luke 24 recently.  The Apostles, likely confused, saddened, dull, wondering what to do next, unknowingly encounter Jesus, and make the connection when reflecting how their hearts burned within while walking and talking with Him.  Nobody else startled and awakened and stirred the heart since Jesus had left; He truly has a unique means to doing this, it had to be Him!

I pray for working moms tonight, that while they indefatigably maneuver hectic days, they have encouraging encounters with the One and only who can rekindle and burn our hears for the purposes of good and His glory.

Father in Heaven:

Thank you for stirring and encouraging our hearts in ways that only you can.  Please lift up working moms everywhere, each time they feel tired or doubtful, or fearful – please show up powerfully.  Just as you invigorated the hearts of the original Apostles after Jesus rose, please do for us.  In his name I pray, Amen.

“When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. 31 Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. 32 They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?” Luke 24:30-32
